The consultation paper essentially is the draft strategy, with the addition of Stakeholder Platforms and consultation questions on particular aspects of what is being proposed. The purpose of the Stakeholder Platforms is to allow selected key stakeholders to express views on the draft Strategy and more generally on the themes under discussion. It is hoped that by outlining the aspirations of both providers and users, the Platforms will usefully inform individual responses to the consultation.
We hope to launch the finalised ESOL Strategy in the first half of 2006. If you wish to reply to the consultation, please note that the deadline for written replies is Monday 31 October. You may reply either by e-mail to thomas.craig@scotland.gsi.gov.uk or in hard copy to the address shown below.
