Further details:

Do you have experience of teaching ESOL Skills for Life qualifications at levels Entry 1 to Level 2?
Are you passionate about enabling every learner to realise their potential, whatever their circumstances?
Have you ever considered using your skills outside of the classroom or educational centre - to get involved with learners as an Assessor?

We, at English Speaking Board (International) Ltd. (ESB International), pride ourselves on providing qualifications that give learners skills for the future, preparing them for their next steps, whether its education or work. Being part of their exciting assessment journey is rewarding and often inspiring.

To maintain our reputation for providing high quality, flexible assessments around the UK, we are looking for new Speaking and Listening Assessors to join our experienced team. Our panel of Assessors come from all walks of life but they share a common goal – to bring out the very best in every learner. Sympathetic to each individual’s background and situation, from the moment an Assessor meets our learners, they provide support and encouragement.  Their input is central to the overall ESB International experience. Assessors are annually trained and standardised to make sure that their marking is consistent and that they bring to every assessment session a passion for ESB International’s core values.

To be considered for this role, you should be flexible and available on weekdays and/or weekday evenings. We require a minimum availability of 2 days per week (although this does not guarantee work for 2 days per week). You must also be willing to travel within the UK, with overnight stays in some circumstances.  Ideally, you will be able to commit to work a minimum of 10 days across May, June and July.

All Assessors are required to assess up to and including Level 2.  If English is not your first language, you must demonstrate English language skills at this level. This position is offered on a self-employed basis. We offer training and an attractive level of pay for suitable candidates.

You should have (or be willing to obtain):
· A current Basic Disclosure/DBS Clearance
· Professional Indemnity Insurance
Successful candidates will be required to attend a Teams meeting interview and, if successful, a further selection day.
If you would like to be part of what we do, please visit our website http://esbuk.org/home/about-esb/vacancies to download our Application Form.  Complete and return the application form to hr@esbuk.org. The closing date for applications is at 8:00 am on Monday, July 15th, 2024. Applications will be reviewed as they come in so it is advised to apply as soon as possible.
