Calderdale College is seeking to appoint an outstanding candidate with a high level of motivation and enthusiasm, to the role of Assistant Curriculum Manager within our Skills for Life and Foundation Learning team. Based in Halifax, West Yorkshire the College employs approximately 500 employees. You will play a key role in delivering an outstanding service to our staff and learners.
The successful candidate will have experience in teaching in the specialist area of Skills for Life and a proven track record of high success. They will also have a detailed knowledge of the SEND agenda and have experience of working with SEND learners.
The role requires excellent planning and organisational skills, knowledge of key developments affecting FE learners and also excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Experience of a team leader and/or management role would also be an advantage.
A strong track record of managing and supporting diverse groups of learners through Skills for Life programmes and a clear understanding of strategies for raising performance and using monitoring and evaluation processes to monitor learner progress is essential.
