WorldSkills London will be held at ExCeL London exhibition and conference centre in London’s docklands from 5th - 8th October 2011. WorldSkills is an international not-for-profit membership organisation comprising of 52 member countries/regions dedicated to raising the status and standards of vocational education and training worldwide. Its flagship programme is the biennial WorldSkills Competition.The competition takes place in a different country every two years and brings together over 1000 young people from across the globe to compete in skills ranging from welding to web design. The Competitors pitch their skills against the best of the best and compete for gold, silver and bronze medals. WorldSkills is the largest vocational skills competition in the world and attracts thousands of visitors such as schools, colleges and training providers, government representatives, employers and teachers.
