'Handbook for the inspection of further education and skills from September 2009'

This Ofsted handbook has been updated to apply to inspections from September 2010, and provides additional guidance on adult and community learning Ofsted has published the 'Handbook for the inspection of further education and skills from September 2009' It provides guidance on inspection for inspectors and will be of use to colleges and providers of further education; work-based learning providers; adult and community learning providers; provision funded by the Department for Work and Pensions; and nextstep provision. The handbook covers inspections from September 2009. It includes reference to the new Common Inspection Framework 2009 with new guidance on, for example, the inspection of safeguarding and equality and diversity.
