External Quality Assurer (Ascentis)

About Ascentis

Ascentis is an established Awarding Organisation regulated by Ofqual, Qualifications Wales and CCEA (Northern Ireland) and creates qualifications for FE Colleges, Private Training Providers, Schools, Employers and many other organisations both in the UK and overseas. Ascentis is also an established Access Validating Agency recognised by the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education. They are based in Lancaster, North West England. 

Ascentis are looking for enthusiastic dedicated professionals to join their External Quality Assurance (EQA) team. Working as an EQA, you will play a key role in the quality assurance of Ascentis’ qualifications being delivered in our Centres. You will specialise in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL Skills for Life) but also be involved in verification of generic low-level portfolio qualifications. The role may also include general Quality Assurance visits to centres. Candidates must be situated for verification work and visits to centres in the North East.

Ideally, successful candidates will be available to work a minimum of 20 days per academic year (1st August to 31st July), and this can be discussed as and when you may be asked to work.
