These as well as other topics will be covered in the NATECLA London Autumn Conference:Senses and Making Sense:

The focus will be on teaching ESOL through senses: using touch, tasting Turkish, sound bites, teaching blind and developing your sixth sense.

The conference will also include our AGM; bring along your suggestions, proposals, complaints or offers to be part of the committee.

13:00 - 13:30: Keynote Speaker James Cupper (Co-Chair, NATECLA) on the NATECLA ESOL strategy

1.30 - 2.30: Workshop 1:
  • Sounds of learning
  • Heart and parcels (ESOL and cooking)
  • Peering into observation

14.30 - 15.30: AGM, home-made cakes, tea, networking

15:30 - 16:30: Workshop 2:

  • Making sense of Brexit
  • Tasting Turkish
  • An extra pair of hands: working with volunteers (new - previous workshop cancelled)
