NATECLA South West Branch launch - first meeting
** Please note, the venue has now changed for this event - it's now more centrally located and close to Bristol Temple Meads Train Station. **
A small team of teachers and managers working in the Bristol and Avon area are hoping to get a South West branch of NATECLA up and running. They are having a meeting and would like to invite as many ESOL practitioners from Bristol, Bath, South Wales, and the wider South West area as possible – all welcome, from volunteers to managers:
Having a NATECLA branch in the South West will allow us to run low-cost training events for teachers in places like Bristol. It will also enable us to organise networking opportunities such as ESOL managers’ meetings in the region and will generally provide a support network for ESOL teachers in the area.
>> Becky Winstanley will also be presenting details of her new project at the Serpentine Gallery, combining theatre and language learning with a focus on resistance. Find out more about this project PLUS all delegates will have an opportunity to take a tour of the Palestinian Museum.
Agenda:
16:30 - 18:00 – Branch meeting with presentation by Becky Winstanley
18:00 - 18:30 - Free Guided tour of museum, with option of buying West Bank free-trade products and souvenirs
18:30 onwards – drinks and informal networking at the harbour
If you do attend this meeting, contributions to this branch can be big or small – we appreciate we’re all busy people!
