ActionAid Reflect ESOL workshops July 09 London

Back to events list
ActionAid Reflect ESOL Workshops return this summer! ‘Reflect’ is an innovative approach to learning which combines the theories of Paulo Friere and creative visual tools. Used in developing country for literacy development, community empowerment and social change, ‘Reflect’ has now been adapted for use in the ESOL classroom. Come along, hear about the theory, explore the case studies and join in the activities. There are no criteria for joining the sessions other than that you are teaching an ESOL class in the voluntary or public sector. You don’t have to be experienced or qualified, but an interest in learner-centred approaches to teaching and learning is essential. We would like you to commit to all three days, read the literature (don’t worry it won’t be much) and be ready to share your knowledge and experience. For more information and application form, please email us at reflect.esol@actionaid.org The training is free but spaces are limited. ActionAid, Archway, London Thursday 2nd July 10am – 4pm Friday 3rd July 10am – 4pm Saturday 4th July 10am – 4pm ActionAid is an international NGO fighting poverty and injustice (www.actionaid.org.uk)
