National Conference and Exhibition 2009 Facing the future - responding to changes in ESOL will be held at Leeds Trinity and All Saints 10-12 July hosted by the Yorkshire and Humberside branch of NATECLA. The keynote address on the Friday evening will be given by Clive Upton, Professor of Modern English Language at the University of Leeds. Over the weekend there will be a choice of workshops covering a wide range of practical and theoretical themes for both new and experienced teachers, teacher trainers, researchers and managers A friendly welcoming atmosphere has always been a feature of the NATECLA conference so whether you are coming for the whole conference or for only a part of it you will be most welcome. As well as the talks and workshops the conference offers the chance for you to discuss the latest developments, air your views in the 'Voice of the conference' session. Take part in networking opportunities with like minded colleagues and also to enjoy the social element - it is an event not to be missed. Ann Cryer MP will talk to conference on Saturday and be sure not to miss the Community Languages event sponsored by Trinity College London.
