NATECLA are delighted to partner up with SERO Consulting to deliver an ETF funded session on Essential Digital Skills in ESOL. NATECLA's Chloë Hynes and Carol Samlal will be facilitating a session as part of the EDS Community of Practice. This will be a practitioner input session to share strategies to embed digital skills in a low tech environment and explore the telltale signs of when to switch off from the tech in the classroom.

Essential digital skills are now as important as embedding English and maths in all curricula. Yet, tutors are faced with an array of restrictions, not least the lack of hardware, that can make teaching these vital skills a challenge. We aim to show how this can be achieved in a low tech environment with practical examples from our own teaching and learning spaces. At the forefront of the session will be the importance of maintaining the balance between digital and non-digital learning.
