'A workshop aimed at basic skills practitioners who would like to know more about the MoneyTalk CD ROM and how it can be used to develop basic language skills and knowledge within a financial context. MoneyTalk has been designed to support adults interested in improving their literacy and language skills, increasing their knowledge of financial processes and developing their skills in a range of financial situations. MoneyTalk is mapped to Entry Level 3 of the Adult Literacy Core Curriculum and to the Basic level of the Adult Financial Capability Framework. Workshops are being held to provide guidance to tutors and other practitioners in the use of the CD ROM and to suggest ways in which teaching might take place. Workshop training will: - Be free to participants - Be practical - Place an emphasis on how the CD ROM can be used in a variety of situations - Encourage the sharing of ideas Lunch and refreshments are provided. Please note that in order to access this event you will need to be able to bring a laptop. If you are wishing to attend the London workshop, please ensure you have returned your application by Friday 28 October 2005 and by Friday 11 November 2005 for all other venues.'
