Ukraine is undergoing a heart-breaking humanitarian crisis. NATECLA and its members, like the majority of people watching this terrible situation unfold, is deeply concerned for the women, children and men who are at risk of their lives.
NATECLA stands in full solidarity with the people of Ukraine, including all of our Ukrainian ESOL students and their families, who are now facing such terrible events and life and death decisions. We call on the UK government to suspend immediately all visa restrictions for any Ukrainian citizens needing refuge and to grant them full citizenship rights including eligibility to fully funded ESOL classes.
NATECLA, along with many civil society organisations, is putting out a statement in strong support of the people of Ukraine.
Please see the statement by the Refugee Council here.
