NATECLA is very pleased to announce the appointment of a new Co-Chair. Greg Dugdale has been voted in as the new Co-Chair taking office from January 2022.

Greg works for South and City College Birmingham (SCCB) as Deputy Faculty Head for Foundation Studies, a busy role in an organisation which oversees the delivery of ESOL to approximately 6000 learners per year.

Greg has experience of working with external bodies on ESOL policy and raising the profile of ESOL across the West Midlands as the chair of the Colleges West Midlands ESOL group, which has a membership of leaders and managers from over 30 colleges, adult education providers and voluntary organisations. Greg has for a while been working on the ESOL Strategy Monitoring Group with many members of the NATECLA Management Council.

Greg will take over from Nafisah Graham-Brown who concludes her three-year tenure as Co-Chair. Greg will work alongside Rachel Öner to lead NATECLA, the professional forum and professional organisation for teachers of ESOL and Community Languages.

Rachel and Greg would like to pass on their sincere thanks to Nafisah for her hard work and dedication to the organisation, to promote the value of ESOL provision and in particular for her fantastic work with national bodies and stakeholders representing English for Speakers of Other Languages.
