NATECLA National Conference 2020: Call for Workshop Leader Proposals
before Monday 6th January 2020 to ensure your workshop proposal is considered by the NATECLA National Conference 2020 organising committee.
Important Conference Information
Delivering a workshop at a NATECLA National Conference is a great CPD opportunity. You'll be presenting at the leading ESOL teaching conference in the UK, which attracts ESOL and EFL practitioners from all over the country - and beyond.
DATE: Friday 3 - Saturday 4 July 2020 (from 1pm on Friday to 6pm on Saturday)
VENUE: Conference Aston, Aston University, Aston Street, Birmingham, B4 7ET

DEADLINE FOR WORKSHOP SUBMISSIONS: Monday 6th January 2020. Successful submitters will be notified by the end of February 2020.
Themes for Workshops
Your workshop should appeal to ESOL teachers, managers, volunteers and other related professionals, practising in the UK and areas of interest could include:
• Practical teaching skills
• Using ICT
• Assessment
• 14-19 learning
• Pre-entry learning
• Volunteer ESOL teaching
• ESOL policy
• ESOL / English language research
• Refugees / asylum seekers
Reimbursements
Workshop reimbursements can only be claimed by non-commercial workshop leaders.
Commercial organisations - Those representing a commercial organisation such as a publisher, awarding body or training organisation will not be entitled to claim a fee and must pay £170 to deliver a session if it is approved.
For non-commercial workshop leaders, NATECLA will pay:
• £30.00 for you to deliver a session once,
• An extra £20.00 for you to repeat the same session on the same day
• An extra £30 for you to repeat the same session on a different day
• Travel expenses of up to £50 (receipts will need to be provided).
These reimbursements are per workshop and NOT per workshop leader. Alternatively, workshop leaders can receive a FREE day pass to attend other workshops on the same day as their own (only one free pass per workshop can be provided).
Please note: NATECLA is a registered charity and, as a result, must limit its expenses accordingly.
