NATECLA seek applications for the next editor of Language Issues

NATECLA seeks applications for the next editor of its journal Language Issues for the three year period from January 2020 to December 2022.

Language Issues is the part peer reviewed journal for NATECLA, read by ESOL and community language professionals in the UK and beyond.  There are two editions a year, summer (June) and winter (December).

The editor is supported by the editorial board and the NATECLA National Centre.

You will have:
editorial experience or be a published author in a peer-reviewed publication
experience of the peer-review process
qualifications and experience in a field relevant to language
established links with other experts in a relevant field
excellent time-management and team management skills

You will chair two editorial meetings a year (usually February and September, either online or face-to-face) and be invited to attend NATECLA's management council meetings (Birmingham and London).

There is a small annual honorarium for undertaking the role. The new editor will be invited to join the editorial board straightaway and shadow the preparations for the December 2019 edition.

Applications to job-share the role are welcome.

Please send initial expressions of interest and your CV to the NATECLA National Centre by Friday 4th October to info@natecla.org.uk

We will then send further information about the publication, the role of the editor and editorial board and the application process. The closing date for applications will be Friday 18th October 2019. Interviews will be held in November 2019.

We also invite colleagues interested in joining the Language Issues editorial board to send in their CV and an expression of interest.
