  • Have you got a passion for ESOL?
  • Do you like working with ESOL professionals?
  • Do you want to make a difference in the sector?
  • Would you like to work for a national organisation with wide reach into different ESOL provision?
If you answered yes to these questions, you might be interested in being our new National Coordinator!

The National Association for Teaching English and Community Languages to Adults (NATECLA) will be recruiting for a new National Coordinator very soon. The role will be 3-4 days a week and can be done remotely, although we are particularly looking for people who can attend our office in Birmingham on a regular basis.

With over 500 individual and institutional members nationally, we are the membership body for ESOL and community language practitioners in the UK. For over 40 years we have supported our members with professional development opportunities, individually and sector-wide. We connect ESOL professionals with their local peers and we have shaped the sector through our policy engagement at the highest levels. Most recently we have been influential in encouraging the government to create a national strategy for English language, part of the new integration strategy.

As our National Coordinator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of our membership charity, organising national events such as our popular and successful annual National Conference working with regional branches, and marketing and communications with partners and external bodies. You will also be responsible for managing our online membership system, and maintaining our website and social media channels.
