Learning Professionals Qualifications Review Lifelong Learning UK (LLUK) is undertaking a review of qualifications for learning professionals in England between September 2010 and March 2011. The first phase was completed in December 2010. It aimed to secure feedback from the sector on a broad set of proposals from LLUK. Section two makes proposals for updating the generic teaching qualifications. Section three makes proposals for updating the subject specific qualifications and for the development of a number of new qualifications. Section four makes proposals for two types of qualifications to be available for those that have completed initial training. Section five makes proposals for the development of a new qualifications framework for learning professionals. The second phase will build on the findings and ways forward agreed from the first phase. Detailed recommendations for updating the qualifications will be presented early in the New Year. The recommendations will be amended in light of feedback, and then guidance will be developed for the qualifications and the framework.
