Consultation on draft National Occupational Standards for Intercultural Working: Working effectively with people from different countries or cultures You are invited to contribute to this consultation. These new UK Standards must be relevant and valuable to all sectors – private, public, voluntary and community. They could be a useful tool for you, so please give us your comments. The Standards identify the skills and knowledge required for working both in multicultural UK and internationally. The benefits are: -better communication between people of different cultures and countries -mutually respectful and supportive working relations -more productive workforces -improved customer service -more effective international trade -strengthened diversity and equality policies and procedures National Occupational Standards are a national benchmark for what people do at work.
