NATECLA Webinar - Accessibility in Teaching and Learning ESOL

Title: Accessibility in Teaching and Learning ESOL

Date: Thursday 14 January 2021

Time: 17:00 to 18:00

Presenter: Rachel Oner

Cost: NATECLA members £5, non-members £25

This session will look at the new Accessibility Regulations and what this means for not only public sector websites and mobile apps, but also for content uploaded to VLEs such as videos and multimedia content and mobile apps used in education.

Whilst 3rd party websites not under control of a public sector body are exempt, these new EU regulations may be adopted more widely in the future, so learning about how to make our training accessible to the 1+ billion people with disabilities should be of interest to all practitioners.

This webinar will look at some of the main problems with documents and sites and how to make these more accessible. The session will provide practical tips on making training more accessible and will explore a range of tools available through Office programmes and web browsers.
