Title: An Introduction to the 'New to ESOL' Resources

Date: Friday 17 July 2020

Time: 15:00 to 16:30

Presenters: John Sutter and Judy Kirsh

Cost: NATECLA members £5, non- members £25

This interactive webinar workshop will introduce the Education and Training Foundation’s recently published New to ESOL resources, designed to support practitioners working with learners who are often described as ‘pre-entry’/beginners/ESOL literacy learners and who may have difficulty with Roman alphabet literacies. They are also aimed at the typically mixed-level groups that such learners find themselves in. The resources, developed by Learning Unlimited, include: a Phonics for ESOL pack, video Listening Resources, and a Refugees New to ESOL pack to accompany the existing New To ESOL resources on the Excellence Gateway website. You will have a chance to explore the new resources and to discuss the challenges - and opportunities - of working with learners at this level.

You can pay for membership at the same time to obtain the reduced webinar price. Alternatively, you can join NATECLA online here.

If you want to register multiple people or if you have any problems booking using the Findjoo booking system please email info@natecla.org.uk to book and pay.
