NATECLA National Conference 2006. 'Language for Life'

NATECLA North West and North Wales are hosting Conference 2006 at University College Chester on 7, 8 and 9 July 2006 ESOL has always been about equipping our learners with the language they need for life in the UK. This is especially true in today’s world with the emphasis on employment, work-based learning, embedded learning, qualifications and citizenship. View the full workshop list here We are delighted that David Crystal will be our keynote speaker on Friday evening and we are sure that his lecture on "The Stories of English" will provide a stimulating start to the conference. On Sunday, the closing address will be given by Neil Robertson, Head of the Skills for Life Strategy Unit who will focus on future plans and any issues or concerns we have. You will be able to enjoy an interesting range of workshops given by both familiar and less familiar trainers, network with colleagues, browse round the resources exhibition and relax in pleasant surroundings with delicious food and good company. The campus is compact and consists of a range of buildings from different periods including modern conference facilities. All rooms will be en-suite with tea and coffee- making facilities.
