Sign Up Now, the sister campaign of Adult Learners' Week, inspires adults to learn new skills to improve their health, confidence or job prospects, as part of the 2010 European Union Year for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion.
The campaign is being delivered across the country, through hundreds of local colleges, adult education centres, museums, libraries and other community and voluntary organisations; offering courses ranging from numeracy and computer skills to dressmaking
The campaign supports learning providers with their recruitment activity by motivating more and different adults to enrol on education and training courses. Delivered through hundreds of local colleges, adult education centres, workplaces and community and voluntary organisations across the country, there are a range of benefits to getting involved.
Teachers can use this month-long national publicity campaign as the perfect opportunity to engage audiences in learning, through:
- free customisable publicity material and engagement tools;
- a national PR hook including celebrity endorsements and the stories of inspirational adult learners;
- ordering copies of our free motivational magazine New Horizons;
- nominating outstanding learners for an Adult Learners' Week Award;
- if your learning opportunities are open to the public you can also promote your taster sessions on our free online calendar.
