|
Date posted: 07 July 2010
The Office of Fair Trading has a free web based toolkit for adult education that uses everyday consumer situations as contexts for learning literacy and numeracy. Key features of Skilled to go include: - curriculum referencing - expanded teachers' notes - learner materials updated to reflect changes in consumer law - index for each module listing every activity
The Office of Fair Trading is offering free workshops for Skills for Life teacher trainees to introduce its web-based toolkit for adult education, Skilled to go. Training can be delivered at your premises for literacy, numeracy or ESOL-specific trainees, or mixed groups.
LLU+ created the resources, which help learners to develop the skills, knowledge and confidence to choose a mobile phone, keep safe online, avoid scams or deal with the challenges of buying and running a car. With new content added in July 2010, there are now five modules to download, with comprehensive Teachers' notes, a User guide and curriculum referencing to the Adult core curricula and Functional Skills standards.
You can access the toolkit or book a training workshop. Go 'more'
