ESOL qualifications: interim funding arrangements 2014/15

Guidance has been published by the Skills Funding Agency (SFA) regarding an extension in existing funding arrangements for ESOL qualifications until 31 December 2014.

This has been announced due to a delay in launching the new suite of ESOL QCF qualifications which have been submitted to Ofqual for accreditation.

NATECLA's response to this postponement


NATECLA believes the extension of funding for one term does not go far enough to help ESOL providers manage these changes. We would ask the SFA to consider a 12 month extension to allow our colleagues to prepare adequately for the introduction of these new qualifications.
