Supported Options Fund - for up to 30 year olds without regular immigration status

Please find information below on the Supported Options Fund. Further information can be found at: http://www.phf.org.uk/page.asp?changes=0&latest=1&id=884 and from Sarah Cutler - Initiative Coordinator undoc@phf.org.uk -- The Supported Options Fund aims to provide support and advice to young people (up to 30 years of age) and children in the UK who do not have regular immigration status. Many of these young people often feel that they are unable, or for various reasons are unwilling, to approach organisations for help. There may also be only very limited options available through which they can seek to address their situation. The fund was established by the PHF Social Justice programme with support from US-based organisation Unbound Philanthropy, with the hope that, through innovative approaches, it may be able to help bring about the creation of trusted and reliable means through which these young people can seek help. We are now inviting expressions of interest from organisations who may wish to apply to this Fund, which is open to those anywhere in the UK. The closing date for expressions of interest, which should be a maximum of 6 pages, is 5pm on 15 November 2011. Full details of the aims and approach, and how to apply, are available at: http://www.phf.org.uk/downloaddoc.asp?id=585 The Supported Options Fund has been developed following research on young undocumented migrants. The PHF report, 'No Right to Dream', published in 2009/10, presents rare first-hand accounts from young undocumented migrants in England. The Supported Options Fund is the product of a period of consultation with a wide range of organisations working in the sector. Goto http://www.phf.org.uk/page.asp?id=1528 for more information on the initial research, and to read the report. If you have queries or need more information, please email Sarah Cutler, Initiative Coordinator at undoc@phf.org.uk
