Project Co-ordinator (ESOL and Community Learning)
Project Co-ordinator (ESOL and Community Learning) £27,000 per annum pro rata 17.5 hours each week Initial contract to 31 March 2011 Deesha is the name for Toynbee Hall’s pre-ESOL community learning project, which seeks to teach English informally to women in particular, and to support them to move into more formal learning or other training or services that they aspire to. We provide volunteer-led language classes free to the local community. The classes and activities are driven by the needs of the members, and members direct their own learning. We need to continue to increase the number of classes we run, to enable more women to access services which meet their English language and related life skills needs. We also need to provide the right support to ensure the women are enabled to move on to relevant training and other services. Are you interested in the lives of migrant women in Tower Hamlets, and providing a quality service to meet their needs? Do you have the skills and enthusiasm to run and develop this work at Toynbee Hall?
