Queering ESOL Seminar 4: Religion and Sexual Diversity

The theme of Seminar Four is Religion and Sexual Diversity:

This seminar addresses the rights of faith groups, models of citizenship and the ways in which these interact with LGBT rights in educational settings.
 
Speakers include: Gill Valentine (University of Sheffield), Louise Waite (University of Leeds), Michael Mumisa (University of Cambridge), Adriaan van Klinken (University of Leeds), Omar Shahid (freelance journalist).
 
There will also be a panel discussion and workshops on implications for the ESOL classroom with Laila El-Metoui (Chair of NATECLA's London Branch), Mel Cooke, Dermot Bryers, Michael Hepworth and Becky Winstanley.
