ESOL has always been about equipping our learners with the language they need for life in the UK. This is especially true in today’s world with the emphasis on employment, work-based learning, embedded learning, qualifications and citizenship.
David Crystal was the keynote speaker on Friday evening delivering his lecture on "The Stories of English" . On Sunday the closing address was given by Neil Robertson, Head of the Skills for Life Strategy Unit .
