Day Conference 'Embedded ESOL'
A NATECLA day conference was held on Saturday 20th November and 80 ESOL practitioners attended at
South Birmingham College
Hall Green Campus
Cole Bank Road
Birmingham
B28 8ES
"Really enjoyed the day -thanks so much. Felt it was well worth sacrificing a Saturday for. A lovely day -very useful"
Workshops
- Embedding ESOL in the work and training context led by Philida Schellekens
Great – but more handouts would have been nice, tantalising glimpses of other slides/topics which we didn’t have time to deal with. Good presentation
Material & session overall interesting and highly relevant to my work, found it very informative, not enough time for activities but extremely worthwhile, no time for group work – good materials to take away
Interesting & useful, would have liked more time to exchange experiences, a useful discussion and exploration of the theory, could have been more active and ‘hands on’, photocopies of slides really helpful.
- Simple ideas for differentiation led by Denia Kincade
Well managed and interesting issues raised, really practical and useful
- Fillers and Warmers led by Julian Kenny
Brilliant, friendly informal approach. Useful session
