Midlands

Do you teach ESOL or community languages anywhere within the East or West Midlands?  If the answer is yes then we would like to welcome you to the branch at the heart of the country.

We currently have more than 100 members of whom several are affiliate institutional members. We hold our AGM and training day workshops once a year in May when members can get together and share ideas. We usually have at least two workshops and try to cater for all our members, with their current needs and national developments in mind. In the last two years the training days have been held in Birmingham and Walsall.
The current committee members are Balvinder Bassra (Chair), Cheryl Thornett (Treasurer) Anne Mills  (Membership Secretary),  Fatin Wana  and Christine Tudor Jones (Management Council Representative).  We are hoping to recruit new members to the committee at the AGM in May.
Come and join us. Remember you will also get access to all the national events as well.

Yorkshire and Humberside

Last year, we had 68 members, including 7 affiliated institutes.
At present, we hold the AGM annually in late May. It is a full day affair, offering training workshops and a social opportunity for members as well as branch business. Many old acquaintances are renewed and new friendships made over the excellent lunch always provided at this event. Come and join us.
At the moment we hold the AGM in Leeds or Bradford, but we would welcome the offer of a different venue from colleges outside West Yorkshire!
